During the masterclass series, each actor will have the rare opportunity to work, directly with Broadway and Canadian theatre professionals from “both sides of the table” using prepared material in solo and ensemble formats. The team will coach, give direction, offer honest, constructive feedback on material and help students craft their musical theatre technique at a professional level.

Fall 2020

Sweet dreams at the fredericton playhouse

In the fall of 2020, in the midst of a global pandemic, we have partnered with Impulse Productions to present

3 sold out, socially distanced workshop performances of Sweet Dreams, a comedic, modern day adaptation of William Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream set to the timeless music of Air Supply.   The show was presented as part of the Fredericton Playhouse InterMISSION artist in residency program that was geared towards turning the unique challenges of COVID into opportunities. The residency gave local talent the rare opportunity to work directly with Broadway professionals in their hometown. Those being mentored included students from Theatre St. Thomas, Theatre New Brunswick and St. Thomas University.
